Bhubaneswar: A youth died while another person sustained serious injuries in a bike-truck collision on the CRP Square flyover in Bhubaneswar late on Tuesday night.
Sources said Sameer Rout of Biribati area in Cuttack was on the way his way back home with a friend, when he lost control of his bike and rammed into a moving truck. The incident took place at about 1.30 AM.
While Sameer died on the spot, his friend was grievously injured. A PCR van later arrived at the spot and admitted the injured to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The locals, meanwhile, have alleged that though the police was informed immediately, they arrived only after an hour. As tension prevailed in the area, Nayapalli Police reached the spot and pacified the locals.
