Cuttack: A youth was allegedly stabbed to death by his elder brother in Dargah Bazaar area of Odisha’s Cuttack city on Monday.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Safiullah Khan of Baunsagali under the jurisdiction of Dargah Bazaar police station in the city.
While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, the youth’s elder brother, identified as Azimullah Khan, was accused of attacking him with a knife over some family dispute.
On being informed, a team from Dargah Bazaar police station rushed to the site and detained the accused, while crime spot was examined by experts.
The body was sent post-mortem and investigation was underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident, sources said.
