YouTube is reportedly working on an app called Shorts as a rival to TikTok. If everything goes according to plan, Google should be ready to introduce its new app by the end of 2020.
Like TikTok, Shorts will allow users to upload brief videos into a feed inside the mobile app, and take advantage of licensed music that YouTube Music has in its catalogue, reports IANS.
Shorts will make use of all the music that YouTube has licensed. Songs will be available for use as soundtracks for the videos created by users, according to The Information.
