New Delhi: Thousands of Zomato delivery partners have been professionally trained to provide medical aid and help during critical roadside emergencies, the food delivery company’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal announced.

In a post on X on June 13, Goyal said, “Yesterday in Mumbai, we broke the Guinness World Record for the largest first aid lesson at a single venue, together with 4,300 delivery partners. Over 30,000 @zomato delivery partners are now professionally trained to provide medical aid and help during critical roadside emergencies.”

Salute and a big thank you to these Emergency Heroes of India,” he added.

Zomato also shared a post on X and said that their emergency heroes will have a green plus sign on their bags.

“We hope you never use this Zomato service,” Zomato said in the caption of their post, adding that 30,000 of their delivery partners have received professional training to give first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in case of critical road emergencies. “But we hope you never need it,” Zomato said while expressing gratitude towards their delivery partners.

Several other social media users urged other companies “which involve logistics to take such initiatives” as well.
