Bhadrak: A team from district food supplies department and police seized two vehicles and 150 bags of public distribution system (PDS) rice at Trisalpur Square in Bhadrak district in the early hours of Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off about hoarding of PDS rice, the team raided an abandoned house at Trisalpur Square and found 150 gunny bags loaded onto two trucks, which were about to leave the spot. The drivers, however, managed to escape.
Efforts are on to trace those involved in illegal hoarding of rice, a senior officer informed.
