Bhubaneswar: More than 30 agitating Sikhya Sahayak aspirants were injured on Monday as police resorted to lathi-charge at Lower PMG here on Monday.
Three police personnel, including Capital Police Station inspector-in-charge Manas Garnayak, as the agitators when they pelted them with stones.
Following the incident, around 15 protestors were arrested by police.
Police Commissioner Y B Khurania, Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi, rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
As many as four platoons of police force were deployed at the spot to prevent any untoward incident.
The Sikhya Sahayak aspirants were demanding immediate release of draft list regarding their appointment.
