Nuapada: At least 33 students, including some as young as five years old, of two Ashram schools have tested positive for COVID-19 in Khadial block of Nuapada district.
According to reports, 22 students of Kaunya Bal Niketan at Gadramunda have tested positive. The afflicted students are aged between 7 and 18 years.
Similarly, 11 students of Nava Prabhat Ashram School have been infected. These students are aged between 5 and 11 years.
Nuapada Collector Swadha Dev Singh said the infected students are kept in isolation on the premises of the schools and special arrangements have been made for their treatment.
Besides, the district administration has carried out sanitization of the premises, the collector added.
Notably, Nuapada district reported 204 COVID positive cases on Friday.
