Bhubaneswar: AAP MP Sanjay Singh, who flew to the city from Delhi on a Vistara flight on Wednesday, has complained that the landing was so rough, it “shook his soul”.
The flight arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here around 9 am.
Singh took to Twitter to apprise Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia about the incident.
“Today, Vistara flight’s landing in Bhubaneswar shook the souls of the passengers and it just escaped an accident,” Singh tweeted.
“Request for the pilot to be assigned another job, else there could be a disaster. Please take note, @airvistara and @JM_Scindia ji,” Singh added.
Scindia responded, saying, “Sanjay ji, we will investigate this matter and take proper action. Thank you for alerting us to the incident.”
In response, a Vistara spokesperson said, “We would like to confirm that Vistara flight UK785 operating from Delhi-Bhubaneswar on October 27, 2021, encountered strong tailwinds during its approach to land. However, the pilots managed to make the necessary adjustments and, despite the gusty winds, the touchdown was normal. Our pilots are well-trained and experienced in handling such situations. Safety of our customers and staff is of paramount importance.”, reported India Today.
