Bhadrak: After almost a gap of over three months, Akhandalamani temple and other shrines in Bhadrak district will reopen for devotees on August 23.
The devotees, however, will be barred from touching the idols Akhandalamani temple, the Bhadrak district administration informed.
Also, marriage and thread ceremonies won’t be allowed on the temple premises due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Devotees can get darshan from 6 am to 8 pm. They must wear masks on the temple premises and outside too.
The Akhandalamani temple will be closed to devotees on Sundays for sanitization.
While announcing the unlock guidelines on July 30, the state government had left the decision to reopen religious places on the respective municipal commissioners and district collectors.
