Bhubaneswar: AMRI Hospital will inaugurate its Liver Clinic in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday and will also organise a free liver health check-up camp on the day.

According to AMRI sources, the health camp is being organised keeping in view the rising liver transplant cases in India caused due to various factors, including hepatitis and lifestyle changes.

“Liver transplantation stands as the definitive solution for End-Stage Liver Disease. Timely consultation and surgery are pivotal for its success. We encourage everyone to seize this opportunity by visiting our liver clinic at AMRI Hospital Bhubaneswar for a complimentary consultation on the inaugural day,” said AMRI’s Consultant Liver Transplant Surgeon Dr Rajasekhar K.

AMRI doctors advised people to get vaccinated against hepatitis virus and go for regular check-ups to prevent liver diseases and ensure optimal liver function.

“Our liver plays a vital role in maintaining overall health. Simple lifestyle adjustments, such as adopting a balanced diet, regular exercise and moderating alcohol consumption, can significantly mitigate the risk of liver diseases. Let’s prioritise liver health and wellness, setting the standard for healthcare excellence in our region,” said AMRI’s Senior Consultant in Medical Gastroenterology Dr Pratap Behera.

Dr Behera and Dr Gyanranjan Rout, Consultant in Medical Gastroenterology at AMRI Hospital, will be in charge of the clinic where comprehensive care for various liver diseases including viral, alcohol-induced, NASH, autoimmune, or drug-induced liver health problems will be provided.

The clinic will also have facilities for a range of lab tests and radiological investigations, the hospital said.
