A low-pressure area is likely to form over southwest Bay of Bengal around May 22, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
The low-pressure area is likely to move initially north-eastwards and concentrate into a depression over central parts of Bay of Bengal around May 24, the weather agency said in a post on X.
However, there was no information about possible impact of the low-pressure area over Odisha so far. The weather agency is yet to forecast whether the state is likely to be affected by it.
