Bhubaneswar: Anindita Das’s mellifluous voice took NROs in Dubai down the memory lane as she sang old Odia songs, which are under the threat of becoming obsolete.
Dubai based, ‘UAE Odia Samaj’ had invited Anindita and her team to perform in the city.
The programme was organised from July 26 at the JALT Community Centre in Dubai. Songs, based on village life were also presented on the occasion.
Odia. Gujarati and Bengali families were present on the occasion. NROs at the function emphasised on the importance of preserving Odia culture and traditions.
Ajaya Choudhury and Chintamaniswar Mishra coordinated the programme conducted under the guidance of Odia Samaj adviser Yogesh Vayani.
