This first-of-its-kind beauty pageant, exclusively for Indian married women in the Middle East, began in 2023. The 2nd Season of the pageant was organised this year in Dubai on September 8.
Married women, hailing from various parts of India and residing in the Middle East participated in this contest to showcase their talent, elegance, intellect, confidence and cultural identity. The participants competed in various rounds of the pageant, including traditional attire, gown, talent, and interview rounds.
Aradhana, who hails from Bhubaneswar, has been residing with her husband Suryakant Behera and daughter Saanvi Behera in Dubai for the last 7 years. She also won Mrs Intellectual award in this year’s contest while showcasing Odia culture at the global stage.
Expressing his joy over her win, Suryakant posted on Facebook: “Happy to convey that my wife was crowned as 2nd Runners-up in Mrs India Middle East 2024 beauty pageant held in Dubai. Her dedication, commitment, self confidence and strong will power has made this possible. First Odia woman to achieve this accolade. Really proud of you wife.”
Aradhana worked as a banking professional, before quitting her job after the birth of their daughter.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that she always wanted to participate in such events but other priorities took precedence earlier. “With the grace of God and support from my family members, I could win this coveted title,” she said.
Aradhana takes great pride in being an Odia and has decided to participate in other similar events to showcase the rich culture and heritage of Odisha across the globe.
