New Delhi: India reacted strongly on Saturday hours after the Kashmir issue was brought up by Germany Foreign minister Annalena Baerbock and her Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at a joint press conference in Berlin.
With Germany suggesting a United Nations role in resolving the long-standing Kashmir dispute, India wasted no time in reminding Berlin of Pakistani terror.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that the global community must have a responsibility in calling out international terrorism, especially of cross-border nature.
“When states do not recognize such dangers, either because of self-interest or indifference, they undermine the cause of peace, not promote it,” MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said.
He pointed out that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has always faced the brunt of terrorism for decades and foreign national have been targeted too.
