Bhubaneswar: In view of the need for large number of isolation facilities to accommodate asymptomatic cases of COVID-19, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has identified the OYO hotels and rooms as paid facilities in the city.
In an official order, the BMC stated that COVID-19 positive patients but clinically assigned as asymptomatic can only avail the facilities for not more than 10 days. The patient can go for 7-day home quarantine after mandatory isolation period.
The patient has to pay 50% of the room rent in advance for the days he intends to stay. He has to abide by all the protocols of the COVID-19 and cooperate with the service provider during the isolation period, the BMC order stated.
He will not come out of the room or use common areas except under the direction of medical officer of the BMC.
