New Delhi: Cannabis compounds can prevent COVID-19 infection, US researchers have found.
The study was published in the Journal of Natural Products.
A team from Oregon State University identified two compounds found in hemp — cannabigerolic acid or CBGA and cannabidiolic acid or CBDA — as having potential to combat COVID-19.
The researchers tested the compounds’ effect against Alpha and Beta variants of the virus in a laboratory.
