Jharsuguda: In view of the steady rise in COVID-19 cases , the Jharsuguda district administration declared 12 areas as micro containment zones on Sunday.
In a notification, Jharsuguda Collector Saroj Kumar Samal said the 12 micro containment zones include eight wards of Jharsuguda Municipality, three areas of Kirmira block and one area of Lakhanpur block.
Following the massive surge in COVID-19 cases in neighbouring Chhattisgarh, the administration has also intensified monitoring of pandemic norms such as wearing of masks in border towns and villages in the district.
