Baripada: The Forest officials arrested six poachers from Kendumundi reserve forest in Thakurmunda range of Mayurbhanj district late on Saturday night.
Acting on a tip-off, during night patrolling the forest officials raided the forest area and arrested six poachers while they were waiting for the prey after setting the woods on fire.
The officials later seized 12 kg venison, bows and arrows from their possession.
The arrested poachers will be forwarded to court on Sunday, the officials said.
