COVID-19 Update: No New Positive Case In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday said that apart from two patients afflicted with the novel coronavirus, there is no new positive case in the state till March 24.

Briefing the media here, chief spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi said by 12 noon on Tuesday, 110 samples were sent for COVID-19 examination and all these have been tested negative. The health of the two identified patients is asymptomatic and stable.

He said out of the 57 persons who had come in contact with the COVID-19 patient, communication has been made with 54 persons while effort is on to communicate with the remaining three by nine monitoring teams.

Stating that 3861 persons have been registered through 104 Helpline and the government portal, Bagchi said so far, 45 persons are in hospital isolation.
