New Delhi: The School of Open Learning (SOL) under Delhi University will be offering undergraduate Arts and Commerce programmes in the online mode as well.
The courses include BA, B.Com, BA in English Honors, BA in Political Science Honors and B.Com Honors.
The SOL was among the four institutes out of 22 whose proposal to offer undergraduate programme online was recently approved by UGC.
The objective is to reach out to the global students with the range of courses offered by DU, news reports said.
The online course content will soon be uploaded on SOL website and enrolment is expected to begin from January 2020.
The university, though, is yet to make a formal announcement in this regard.
Reports said Delhi University will also launch a dedicated website for the online programme. It will have features such as live streaming of lectures, e-books and also easy access to study materials.
Director of SOL C S Dubey had earlier this year said that they are also planning to conduct 30 per cent of the exams online. “We are developing a new dashboard for this, which will be integrated with the one from which students get information and study material,” he had said.
