Elderly Woman Donates Rs 20 Lakh To Jagannath Temple; Know Why

Puri: A woman, Suprabha Panda, donated Rs 20 lakh to the Jagannath Temple in Puri to fulfil her husband’s last wish.

Suprabha from Basta Sadanandapur in Balasore district had to sell her 24 decimal land in Cuttack to fulfil her husband, Pankaj Kant Panda’s last wish.

Suprabha’s husband, who died of cancer, was an ardent devotee of Lord Jagannath. During his last visit to the temple, Pankaj wanted to make donate some money to the temple but could not. However, his wife decided to do so and went ahead to sell a patch of land in Cuttack. She also donated Rs 15 lakh to Sambhunath High School at Basta.
