Odisha Boys Clinch Bronze In Sub-Junior National Hockey

Panjim: Odisha boys finished third in the 12th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men’s National Championship at Goa.

In the bronze medal playoff contest, Odisha overcame Haryana 5-2 on Sunday.

Prolific scorer Rohit Singh once again starred with two goals.

Odisha had stormed into the last-four stage with an all-win record in group stage, scoring 33 goals in three games. Against Jharkhand in the semifinals, Odisha fought hard only to be eliminated via penalty shootout after the teams shared two goals in regulation time.
