Excise Officials Seize Drugs Worth Rs 2.86 Cr During Week-Long Enforcement Drive In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Drugs worth Rs 2.86 crore and 2,642 kg of ganja were seized during a Special Enforcement drive by Excise Department.

During the week-long drive that concluded on April 25, was launched to control NDPS-related crimes in the state.

The enforcement squads also seized 1028 gm brown sugar, 165.8 lt codeine-based cough syrup, Rs 13 lakh cash and 19 vehicles. A total of 184 cases were filed and 188 accused persons arrested, stated reports.

Ganjam District reported the highest number of cases at 14 followed by Cuttack district where 11 NDPS cases were registered.
