Four Killed, 2 Injured As Car Rams Tree In Rayagada

Rayagada: Four persons died while two others were seriously injured when an SUV in which they were travelling rammed a roadside tree at Tayaput under Kashipur block in Rayagada district late on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Rabi Majhi, Naveen Majhi, Nabi Majhi and Papu Muduli of Dengaguda village and that of the fourth person is yet to be ascertained.

According to sources, the passengers were returning to Dengaguda from Rayagada after watching ‘Chaiti Mahotsav’ when the driver lost control over the vehicle leading to the accident.

On being informed, police and fire personnel reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem. The injured have been admitted to Rayagada district headquarters hospital
