Bhubaneswar: A young ‘Gupchup’ seller will have his ambition of being a mechanical engineer fulfilled with assistance of KISS Foundation.
Rahul Mahat, a meritorious student who hails from Anandpur in Kendujhar district, secured 87 percent marks in Plus II examinations this year. Though he dreamt of becoming a mechanical engineer, he couldn’t fulfil it because of poverty. His father, the sole bread earner of the family, died a few years back. In order to support his family, he took to selling ‘Gupchup’ in the market places.
On knowing about him from the media, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KISS Foundation and MP contacted Rahul’s family. Dr. Samanta immediately announced that KISS Foundation will take the responsibility of his education in KIIT Deemed to be University free of cost.
Besides education, KISS Foundation will also facilitate his suitable employment, Dr. Samanta assured. Rahul’s family has expressed their gratitude to the KISS Foundation for the noble gesture.
