Three persons, including two officials of ICICI bank branch at Bomaloi in Sambalpur district, have been arrested for allegedly withdrawing over Rs 12.47 lakh from the ‘old age pension’ account by forging the signature of Rengali BDO.
The accused have been identified as manager of the bank Anirban Dey, cashier Sudhir Kumar Meher; and ex-cashier Prabin Bharati, who is currently working as Customer Relation Officer at Bandhan Bank, Rairangpur branch in Mayurbhanj district.
According to police sources, the BDO had lodged complaint in this regard on December 24. Efforts are on to unearth the misappropriated money, the sources added.
