Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Infosys Ltd Development Centre received the coveted Odisha State Energy Conservation Award (OSECA) for the fourth time in a row, for its excellence in energy conservation and management.
A state level function was organised on the occasion of Energy Conservation Day on December 14 by the Department of Energy, Government of Odisha, Engineer-in-Chief (Electricity)-cum-Principal Chief Electrical Inspector as a state designated agency at Jayadev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
The objective of presenting the award was to propagate the message of energy conservation and efficiency among the general public as well as all sectors of the economy. It also aimed at saving the world from global warming and facilitate sharing of information on best practices and technologies.
The winner was declared based on the answers and proof of documents submitted to the state government. The answers were evaluated by an expert panel of judges.
The award was presented by Hemant Kumar Sharma, Commissioner-Cum-Secretary of Energy Department and Government of Odisha. The campus of Bhubaneswar Infosys continues to instill a sense of competition to motivate other industries in the state to achieve excellence in the area of energy conservation.
Infosys Bhubaneswar Development Centre (STPI) was awarded the ‘Best Performance Award’ and Infosys Bhubaneswar DC (SEZ) was awarded with the ‘Meritorious Performance Award’ by Government of Odisha for its significant contribution in saving energy and better sustainability.
