Puri: With the reopening of the Jagannath temple on Wednesday, the temple administration issued a standard operating procedure for the devotees.
The SOP issued by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration is as follows:
—Hand sanitising and wearing mask outside and inside the temple is mandatory.
—The devotees cannot touch any idol inside the temple.
—Carrying bhoga, flowers and earthen candles to the temple is now allowed.
—Lighting of diyas inside the temple is banned.
—Eating Mahaprasad inside the temple and at Anand Bazar is not allowed.
—People of Puri town and its periphery will have to collect the token and enter the temple by showing their Aadhar Card or Voter I-Card.
—For the public darshan starting from January 3, the queue will start from the Municipality Market Square at 8 am.
—For entry into the temple, the devotees have to show the COVID-19 negative report. The test undergone by the devotees must be 96 hours before.
