Bhubaneswar: A UK-returnee has been identified in the Capital city.
Informing the media on Wednesday, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said the UK-returnee has been identified and as per the directive of the state government, he has been admitted to the COVID hospital and his c
ontact tracing has started.
Assuring the city denizens not to get panicked, he said that as per the directive of the Centre, there will be a mandatory COVID-19 test for the people within 14 days of their arrival in India. If any returnee has no COVID-19 negative report, he/she has to undergo the test.
The BMC Commissioner further said that as a precautionary measure BMC has put up a kiosk at the terminal of the Biju Patnaik International Airport which will start functioning from Thursday.
