Bhubaneswar: A major fire broke out in a bar located near a shopping mall in Shaheed Nagar area of Bhubaneswar on Monday. No injury to anyone was reported in the fire that erupted in the bar near Bhawani Mall, sources said.
On being informed, fire services personnel armed with sophisticated equipment rushed the spot and launched an operation to control the blaze. Thick smoke billowing out of the building engulfed the entire area and made the rescue operation tough.
Four persons were reportedly trapped inside the bar when the incident took place and all of them were rescued by the firefighters safely, sources said.
The fire was suspected to have erupted due to electric short circuit. However, the exact cause would be ascertained after a thorough probe.
