Malkangiri: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Malkangiri district touched 1531 on Thursday with 56 new positive cases.
According to the district administration, 54 are local contact cases. The remaining two had a travel history to hotspot state/district.
The highest of 37 cases have been reported from Malkangiri municipality followed by five from Podia block, four from Khoriput block, three from Balimela, two from Korukonda, and one each from Mathili, Chitrakonda and Malkangiri block.

With three deaths and 982 recoveries, Malkangiri now has 546 active cases.
