Man Beats Father To Death In Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A man has allegedly hacked his father to death over family dispute in Odisha’s Angul district.

According to sources, Balram Bhoi of Nuabhuin village under Bantala police station in the district used to have fight with his father Biprabar Bhoi regularly. Balram was allegedly not only scolding his father but also beat him up during the fight.

The neighbours of Balram heard the father and son quarrelling in high pitch on Friday night. On Saturday morning, they did not see Biprabar coming out of the house and went to enquire about him. They found him dead in a pool of blood and informed the police.

A team from Bantala police station went to the village and sent the body for post-mortem. They laso registered a case and started investigation.

Meanwhile, Balram has been absconding. The villagers suspected that he had beaten his father to death and fled to escape arrest. The police have launched a manhunt to trace Balram.
