Bhubaneswar: In a gesture of his love for children and respect for deities of Jagannath temple in Odisha’s Puri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a painting of the Lord and his siblings from a child standing in the crowd at a public rally in West Bengal.
The whole incident was captured in a video and posted by Dr SG Suryah on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. The video showed that the little girl (not identified) was showing the painting of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in a frame towards the dais.
The Prime Minister and other leaders of BJP were standing on the dais. Though the little girl was standing at quite a distance due to security reasons, she caught the attention of Modi.
The Prime Minister asked some officials to fetch the painting from the minor girl. On getting the painting, he was seen showing it to the girl to acknowledge that he had received her gift. He also gestured his appreciation of the painting to the girl.
