Sambalpur: The owner of a two-wheeler was fined Rs 25,000 under Motor Vehicles Act for allowing a minor boy to ride his vehicle in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Friday.
The minor boy was caught by Traffic Police during checking at Paramanapur square in Sambalpur.
The minor was also fined on three other accounts. Riding helmetless, not possessing insurance, and triple riding.
While Rs 1,000 fine was imposed for riding without a helmet, Rs 2,000 for no insurance, and Rs 1,000 for triple riding.
A total of Rs 29,000 fine was imposed on them.
Notably, a man had to cough up Rs 43,000 fine for allowing his minor son to ride a scooter in Sambalpur district in March 2020.
