Odisha Brahmins Take Up Their Problems With President Droupadi Murmu

Bhubaneswar: A delegation of Brahmins from Odisha submitted a memorandum highlighting the problems faced by them to President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi on Friday.

The members of Odisha Brahman Mahasangh, led by its president Sadanand Dixit, had a meeting with the President at Rashtrapati Bhawan on the day.

The delegates discussed the issues of financial crisis, unemployment and social injustice faced by the Brahmins. They also pointed out the livelihood problems faced by them due to lack of patronage to Vedic practices and the threat to the community of practising priests.

The delegates included president of Bamanghati Brahman Mahasangh Ganesh Mishra, secretary Sushant Sharma, treasurer Nrusingh Charan Dash and others.
