Bhubaneswar: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University organised a special graduation ceremony at its campus here on Thursday for students who had completed their bachelor’s and masters degree courses in Agriculture between 2020 and 2022.
B.Sc. Agriculure (Hons) students of 2020, 2021 and 2022 batches and M.Sc. Agriculture students of 2021 and 2022 batches at Institute of Agricultural Sciences, SOA’s faculty of agricultural sciences, were presented their credentials at the programme chaired by the SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda.
The successful students had not received their certificates so long as graduation ceremony could not be held during the three years of COVID-19 pandemic.
The graduation ceremony of Agriculture students of the 2023 batch was held a month ago.
Prof. Nanda, who administered the oath to graduating students, said despite encountering difficult times due to the pandemic, they completed their education in an adverse atmosphere.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Sitikantha Mishra, Controller of Examination Prof. Manjula Das, Dean of IAS Prof. Santosh Kumar Rout, Advisor of IAS Prof. Bijoy Kumar Sahoo, Dean (Students’ Welfare) Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, members of the Academic Council and faculty members were present.
