Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leaders and Odisha legislators Suresh Chandra Routray and Mohammad Moquim have been issued show cause notice for indulging in indiscipline.
According to sources, state Congress disciplinary committee president Kishore Patel has issued notice to the senior lawmakers.
Rourtay, who is the party legislator from Jatni, and Cuttack-Barabati MLA Mohammad Moquim have been asked to submit replies before the disciplinary committee within seven days, they said.
The move came after the two legislators reportedly made adverse statements over defeat of Congress in the recent Padmapur bypoll in Bargarh district of the state. They had blamed senior party leaders for defeat of the party candidate, who lost the security deposit in the by-election.
