SS Rajamouli’s mega hit ‘RRR’ has also been submitted for consideration for Oscars 2023.

‘Kantara’. which released in theatres on September 30, 2022, has earned over Rs 400 crore worldwide and made Rishab Shetty — who has directed it and acted in it — a household name.
“We have submitted our application for Oscars for Kantara and have our fingers crossed as the final nominations are yet to come.. Kantara as a story is so rooted that we hope it can find a voice worldwide as well,” Kirgandur said.
‘Kantara’ was first released in Kannada, before dubbed versions in English, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu hit theatres.
