Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha went up to 26,892 on Monday with 1503 new cases reported in the last 24 hours from 28 districts.
Out of 1503 cases reported, 1002 are from quarantine centres while 501 are local contact cases.
While Ganjam leads the tally with the highest single-day spike of 491 cases, followed by Khurda (223), Cuttack (136), 73 each from Kandhamal and Gajapati, Rayagada (68), Sundargarh (57), Jajpur (51), Keonjhar (43), 34 each in Koraput and Malkangiri, Dhenkanal (32), Mayurbhanj (28), Bhadrak (25), Bargarh (23), Balangir (21), Balasore (19), Sambalpur (17), 10 each from Jharsuguda and Kalahandi, Kendrapada (9), Nayagarh (8), Jagatsinghpur (6), four each from Sonepur and Puri, Nabarangpur (2), and one each from Boudh and Angul.
With 140 deaths and 16,792 recoveries, the active cases in the state is now 9919.
