Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das on Friday presented medals to 50 personnel of state police, Fire Brigade, civil defence, home guard and jail for their distinguished services on the occasion of Republic Day.
The governor presented Police Medal for Gallantry to 3 personnel of SOG and one of DVF for successful operation against Maoists at a glittering state-level award presentation ceremony in Bhubaneswar. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was also present.
President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service was presented to two personnel, Police Medal for Meritorious Service to 11, Governor’s Medal for 2023 to 20, Fire Service Medal for Gallantry to one, Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service to two, Home Guards and Civil Defence medal to 3, Governor’s Medal for 2023 to two, and Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service to 5 personnel at the function.
