Berhampur: ‘Achhi Adat’ (good habit) campaign with special focus on hand washing, nail cutting, using mask and keeping social distance was organised in 12 states including Odisha on the eve of International Hand Washing Day on October 15.
The campaign was simultaneously launched on Thursday in 101 locations in the 12 states where people, especially children, youth and women including the elected representatives of the gram panchayats participated.
IJ Kakehashi (IJK) Service in collaboration with PREM, an Odisha-based NGO with support from JICA, a Japanese organisation organised the event.
Besides Odisha, ‘Achhi Adat’ was organised in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, said Sanjaya Panda Executive Director, IJK.
“The campaign aims at spreading the message of keeping our surroundings and ourselves clean during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Panda said.
