Kendrapada: A woman jumped off Gadagadi bridge into Kharasrota river with her 9-month-old baby girl after an alleged quarrel with her husband on Friday.
According to sources, the incident took place while the couple, who belonged to Khandola village under Aul police limits, were returning from Dalikainda village in an auto. Following a heat exchange of words, the woman stopped the auto on the bridge, grabbed her daughter and jumped into the river. Her husband followed suit in an attempt to save them.
The trio was spotted by locals, who then managed to rescue all three of them. Following which, they were admitted to Community Health Centre (CHC) in Aul and later shifted to District Headquarters Hospital here for treatment.
