Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s centenarian freedom fighter Jitendriya Pradhan passed away on Friday. He was 102.
Pradhan, who was suffering from age-related ailments, passed away at Panimora village in Bargarh district.
He was 23 years old when he joined the Quit India Movement, for which he was imprisoned. He was felicitated by the Bargarh Collector on behalf of President Ram Nath Kovind last year on Kranti Diwas.
He had tested positive for COVID-19 at VIMSAR, Burla, on Thursday.
