Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here on a two-day visit to Odisha.
The President and his wife were received by Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi after they got down from a special plane of Indian Air Force (IAF) in the evening. Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra and DGP Abhay were also present.
According to the President’s tour itinerary, he will fly to Rourkela to attend the convocation of National Institute of Technology (NIT) on Sunday morning. He will later inaugurate a super-specialty hospital on the premises of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
The President will visit Jagannath temple in Puri and Konark on Monday. He will spend both nights at Raj Bhavan, here and return to Delhi on Monday evening.
