New Delhi: Yashaswini Deswal fetched India its first gold medal in the ISSF World Cup shooting meet here on Saturday by winning the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event.
The 23-year-old Yashaswini, from Chandigarh, gathered 238.8 points to outshine the more fancied Manu Bhaker (236.7), who had to settle for silver.
Divyansh Singh Panwar, the world No. 1 in men’s 10m Air Rifle, bagged the bronze medal to open India’s medal account in the competition.
