Bhubaneswar: Energy minister Prafulla Mallick on Thursday highlighted the proactive measures initiated by the state government to boost the green energy sector and stressed the need to promote use of solar energy to bridge the demand-supply gap.
Briefing mediapersons on the achievements of his department in the last three years, the minister said, “The government has established a 20 MW Green Energy Development Corporation at Manamunda Industrial Estate in Boudh district for improving solar power generation. Besides, steps are being taken to introduce rooftop solar power system in all government offices.”
