WhatsApp will be reportedly bringing updates that will enable multi-device use of the same account.
There will be unrestricted access of the same account on multiple devices with chat history and other backup, even across platforms such as iOS and Android.
WhatsApp will be building a UWP version on which the current WhatsApp Web will work without any change, according to WABetaInfo.
The UWP version will work independently but the web version will need the app to be connected to the internet.
However, no timeline has been revealed for these changes.
