Bhubaneswar: Following the forecast of rain with thunderstorm and lighting in several districts of Odisha till May 4, the office of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has directed the district collectors to remain alert.
The SRC has told the collectors to circulate the forecast among the public and monitor the situation. They have also been told to take necessary action in case of any eventuality.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a five-day yellow warning for rain and thundershower with lightning and strong wind for 14 Odisha districts from today.
