Cuttack: In view of the unusual surge in COVID-19 cases, the Orissa High Court in a partial modification of its earlier notification said on Friday that the ensuing summer vacation of subordinate courts scheduled to begin from May 22 is advanced to May 3.
The summer vacation will continue till June 5 and reopen on the next day. However, the subordinate courts will remain closed from June 14 to 16 on account of Odia festival of Raja.
The High Court further said the subordinate courts will function only in the virtual mode during vacation.
