Berhampur: Ganjam reported 57 new corona positive cases on Thursday, taking the district’s affected tally to 1088.
Eighteen among them are corona warriors – three from Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) limits, two each from Bhanjanagar, Chhatrapur and Sanakhemundi and one each Chikiti, Dharakote, Kukudahandi, Patrapur, Polsara, and Shergarh, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange tweeted.
The positive cases with travel histor include four from Surat, three from Bengaluru and one each from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Mumbai. They are residents of Rangeilunda (4), Buguda (2), Digapahandi (2), Purushottam (1), and Shergarh (1).
The remaining 29 more are contact cases. These cases have been reported from KSNagar (8), BeMC (5), Banaganagar (4), Aska (3), Chikiti (2), Rangeilunda (2), Buguda (1), Hinjlicut (1), Patrapur (1), Purushottam (1) and Surada (1).
All the affected have been shifted to the COVID hospital, the collector added.
With eight deaths and 729 recoveries, Ganjam now has 351 active cases.
